Thanks to everyone who turned out, and to David Jackson and Steve Pearson for helping out with marshalling and timekeeping. The weather held off and everyone avoided the worst of the bogs, although it was fairly dark by the time I set off.
Some requests for drier conditions next year, some requests for it to be run entirely in the dark. It depends largely on whether I remember before the nights get too dark.
We had a mixed county team out at last weekends North West Road Relays and they put in a great performance finishing 7th overall. The run of the day was from James Kevan who got the team off to a fantastic start with the 4th fastest leg of the day.

Pennington Flash 5 mile trail race
7 Harriers turned out for this Central Lancs Grand Prix race ran along dusty trails on a red hot afternoon. Gareth Booth was our first runner home finishing in 6th and it was great to see Alistair Murray coming back from injury just 2 places behind. Dave Jackson, Peter Rice & Andy Townsend (11th, 12th & 14th respectively) all finished strongly. In a field of 144 our final 2 runners home were Gary Chadderton (58th) and Mark Swindell (75th)
