Norman Matthew’s Favourite Hill Session

Thursday 21st October

Come and join us.

The hill session on Thursday 21st Oct will be what Norman considered to be a proper hill session – several reps up Fox Holes and then once to the mast.  In our own way we are celebrating just one part of Norman’s fantastic contribution to the club by having a training run followed by a beer in the Bridge Hotel, Horwich.

If you are free and able to come on Thursday then we have three meeting times and positions and we hope that you can make one of them.

Meet at the bottom of Fox Holes, with kit, at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start. The session will include as many Fox Hole reps as you can manage so that you can run to the Scotsman’s Stump to be there for 7.45pm.  Some may manage 5(?) others just the run to the mast!.  People will then run off as they please (head torches if you want to include 2 lads, or the pike or what ever – please run with at least one other – it’s quite boggy on top these days) and finally 8.30pm in the Bridge for a raising of a glass to one very special person who will be missed by us all.

I hope you can make one of the meeting points – even if it’s only in the Bridge for an hour – we would like to see you.

Peter Ramsdale
