After an abysmal start to the day, the weather at least stayed dry for the race, if not a little blustery to say the least! The weather conditions didn’t seem to phase the race winner in the least and by 5 seconds our very own Alastair Murray notched another well deserved outright win. A nice rustic trophy, bottle of Jura whisky & cash was bestowed upon a very pleased Ali. A further eight more Harriers turned out for this race with Tony Hesketh picking up a prize for his category. It was good to see Colin Jones giving his legs an airing on the fells again. Lets hope he hasn’t scared off too many sheep and will play out again! Debutant Fran Walker had a great run too in this her first run for the Club. One more lady & we’d have had a team! I’m sure we’ll be seeing Fran in many more races to come.
