Coope’s Dozen

This is an 18 mile round of twelve local tops that has in the past been completed in 2 hours 35 minutes.  For many years (not 2010) it has been undertaken as a social run on the Saturday before the Borrowdale Race.  Saturday 30th July 2011 will see this informal event resurrected.  The usual format is that there is a fast group and a slow group, plus perhaps a few “racers” who hope to be back for an early lunch (not provided).
If you fancy turning out be at the Top Barn, ready to run for 9:00 a.m. and expect to be out for anything up to 5 hours.  If you want more details get in touch with me on 01257 480026 or edswift@btinternet.com.
The event is unsupported, so unless you stash refeshments on the route (Hordern Stoops is about half way) you’ll need to carry your own stuff.  I usually undertake the sweeper role to ensure no-one gets left behind.
