Liver Hill Race – Tues 31st March

Rather a unique race in so much that the entry was free and everyone got a prize – free cream egg – at the finish, as the world gone mad!
Four Harriers took advantage of the deal, Paul Boardman 26th (39:04:00), Me 34th (40:36:00) Mark Collier 118th (51.39) and Ed Swift 121st (52:26, 3rd V60) also noticed Peter Haworth running for Bangor Uni was he a harrier at some point ? (still is!) 7th in 35:46.
The race was, organised by Rossendale Harriers from Marl Pitts.
It was great conditions and a nice start to the summer evening races after the clocks changed. The moor on the top was pretty muddy and boggy in places and I sunk up to my knee a couple of times but apart from this it was okay. It was my first race of the year due to my training schedule for my BG but thoroughly enjoyed it, probably went out a bit quick but did alright.

PS. Well done to Graham Wright who organised the race!
