Clean Sweep at Radcliffe 10k

Radcliffe 10k – Sunday 19th April.

Colin Rigby (33.53) and Suzanne Budgett (39.18) both took top spot when winning this local 10k trail/road race. Colin went in determined mode to win the race and that’s what he did leading from the gun, and apart from being sent the wrong way at one stage, won the race impressively from a fast improving Alastair Murray (34.35) Rob Jackson (35.04) easing down for London was out third counter and with Steve Nolan (35.30) in fifth – as our final team member – there was little doubt who won the team award with a 1-2-3-5 finish.
The ladies also took first team, helped considerably with Suzanne’s win which was pretty emphatic, winning by over a minute from the second lady. Bethan Faulker (44.42) continues to impress in the senior ranks finishing ninth lady and first junior, plus of course our second lady team member. Sarah Norgate (45.01) was our final team member having a cracking run off virtually no training, but raced to back up the ladies.

Sixteen Harriers – from a field of 214 – enjoyed the glorious sunny conditions in this the second counter in the Club Road Championship, the full results can be found in the link with some excellent results from club members right through the field.
