Five Harriers were in attendance at the second counter in this years club fell championships. Conditions were clear, not too warm, and dry under foot, for this popular race from Hayfield in the Peak District taking in the ridge above Kinder Reservoir. The race was won by England International Lloyd Taggart in 1:07:11. First Horwich home was Alastair Murray, 7th in 1:12:06, enjoying the run on unfamiliar territory, and taking advantage of the long road section to pick up a couple of places at the end. Gary Chadderton and Doug Fleming came in together clocking 1:24:03 and 1:24:09 in 59th and 60th. Next in was Colin Wood in 1:33:41, followed by Colin Waterworth in 1:41:28. 279 runners finished.
