Mid Lancs XC Hyndburn

Horwich RMI defended their current title with some vigour against some intense competition. Having 2 club runners on International duties in Italy in was down to some spirited performances to save the day.

From the line Tom Carson took the lead and remained there comfortably until accumulating a good distance and finishing as first counter. Next counter was Joe Mercer a great run in 6th. Dave Jackson was strong and managed 23rd just piping Alastair Murray still coming back from tonsillitis in 28th. New Member Ryan Stevenson put in a great run in 63rd, closely followed by Graham Schofield 65th. Impressive performances where still to come from Chris Essex Crosby just behind in 68th and a very tired Glyn Kay on only 4 hours sleep in 30 from a Holiday in Florida managing 72nd. Other runners who braved the mud also deserve a mention John Parker in 254, Gordon Stone 270 and Peter Scott 273, well done guys.

Horwich are the current Holders of this title and were happy to come away with 4th place in the First of 6 races.

Next Race Barrow In Furness On the 15th Nov is a must for the team to keep up the pressure on retaining the title.
