Harrock Hill 27th May
Well over 200 runners started this popular Fell Race in Parbold. On a warm evening and with good conditions underfoot times where improved by the majority of runners.
The winner was Daniel Miller of Wigan in 34.04 well outside of Nick Leigh’s record. First finisher for us was 55 year old Paul Muller in 12th just two seconds ahead of Lindsey Brindle who won the ladies by a massive three minutes and she seems to be on top form at the moment. Steve Foley running on home soil was second vet 45 in 21st after a good race. Ever present Paul Boardman was next 39th just dipping under the 40 minute barrier. Our second lady Debra Campbell was 3rd Lady in 78th place slower than normal but after her injury it was a good run. Tony Hesketh was first O/65 in 98th despite having to wait at a number of stiles. Our final runners were David Barnes in 166th and Anna Keighley 207th and both seemed happy with their runs.
