British Masters 5k Championship

Congratulations to the Vet 60 team of Mick Crook, Tony Hesketh and Pete Bland who took the bronze team medal in this years British 5k vets championships.

Oxford City took the gold in convincing style with a cumulative total time of 57.48 then Clydesdale who had won the event for the past few years took the silver medal in 61.05, and a delighted Horwich team who were just 4 seconds behind took Bronze.

It was a well organised event once again held on closed roads around Horwich town centre in near perfect conditions and attracted a big field of over 160 starters.

Steve Nolan was the only other competitor from Horwich who ran 16.55 and finished 6th Vet 50.
