I started running four years ago after qualifying for the Lancashire schools and joined Horwich in March 2004.

I have two sisters and a brother who also compete.  My brother Danny likes track - 800m - and was once double county champion over 1500m & 800m – he also finished third in U20 fell championship, even though he isn’t that keen on the fells.

My youngest sister Emily has recently started training for hurdles and my younger sister Amie seems to like everything but most of all javelin, and has thrown for Lancashire - they both do the odd fell race now and again.

My favourite race so far has to be when I competed for the U16 England fell team and won gold medals for the team award with 2, 3, 4, and 5 - I was 5th.

I have also qualified and competed in the Lancashire schools cross-country team for the past 4 years.  I prefer running fells and cross-country, I find that track is the same all the time, and gets very boring!!!

Before athletics I used to do archery were I finished third in the Lancashire Championships - shooting in the compound section.  I had to stop as I started training for athletics and had no time for archery practice.

Next season I am hoping to have got rid of my shin splints and finish 1st in the U18 fell championship and hopefully qualify for England on the fells.
