Easter Monday is an ideal time to run off all the chocolate Easter eggs, but it was rather a cold and cloudy afternoon to be competing in the first Medal meeting of the season.

It was a poor turn out by Horwich juniors – only Lexi Cochrane competed for the club.  However it was also a day of very good competition with 14 girls competing in the Under 13s 75m and 21 in the 150m races.

Lexi’s results were:

• 75m in 11.0 sec (PB) equal 6th
• 150m in 21.8 sec (PB) 5th
• High Jump of 1.10m for the gold medal

The next Trafford meeting is on the 17th April when hopefully more Horwich athletes will be taking home the medals.
