A number of Horwich RMI’s talented athletes travelled to Cudworth for the North of England Championships.

Pick of the performances was Sam Gough, who fresh from winning the County championships battled against very windy conditions in the 400m and was rewarded with a silver medal just outside his lifetime best.

Josh Bettis also had a good weekend running close to his best over 200m and 400m whilst Joe Christopher also had a good run in the 1500m.

Lauren Ashton contested the 300m Hurdles and was disappointed not to have made the final.
