Horwich RMI athletes got of to a tremendous start for the indoor season at Sportcity on Sunday.  Five new club records were set as athletes put their winter training into use.

Becky Norris was first off the mark reducing her own Under 17 Women’s 60 m Hurdles mark, she then followed this with new figures over 60 m flat.  U17 Bruce Pilkington was in record form reducing his 60m flat mark whilst Jack Thomas ran personal bests at both 60 m and 200m.  Both Bruce and Jack’s 60m times are qualifying times for the National Indoor championships in March next year.  Also at Under 17 level, Sam Gough ran a terrific race over 600m just being pipped at the line.

Completing the record breaking was new recruit Lorenzo Francilio who set new times over 60m and 200m in the Under 20 Men’s events.

At Under 15 Girls Lexi Cochrane was close to her best over 60m and 200m whilst Sandy Kingston set personal bests at both 60 m and Long Jump.
