Young Athletes League
Deeside, 20th May 2007
Horwich RMI got off to a flying start by winning their
opening match of the Young Athletes League by 70 points including nearly
40 first places. To cap a great day April Stevenson was crowned
Athlete of the Match with her outstanding 800m win of 2.14.8 which is
also a club record and one of the fastest times in the country. Several other club records were set by Rebecca Keating (U17 Hammer),
Feyi Aribsala (U15 100m), Bethany Miller (U13 75m), Katy Voce (U13
1200m), the U17 4 x 300m team (Rebecca Keating, Bethan Faulkner, April
Stevenson, Becky Murphy-Bates) and the U15 4 x 100m relay team (Tiffany Dacre, Rachel Pearson, Becky Buchanan and Feyi Aribsala) with a
time which actually broke the fastest time by any Horwich female relay
