Horwich RMI Harriers Young Athletes shine at DASH
Quadrathlon Horwich RMI Harriers turned out 13 brave athletes ranging from Under 9 to Under 15’s. In very warm and quite humid conditions all our athletes competed magnificently, giving 100% and making their Coaches and Parents extremely proud. On the day, congratulations to two young Harrier Girls who both came 3rd overall in their age groups and won Bronze Medals :- Martha Gill (Under 11) & Eleanor Dacre (Under 9) There were 9 new Club Records set on the day, well done to Cameron Challands, Samuel Lunt, Eleanor Dacre, Natassia Dacre & Martha Gill. Natassia’s Vortex Throw (Under 11 Girls) was also a new DASH Quadrathlon Championship record at 23.52m. It is also worth noting that overall these young Harriers achieved no less than 44 Personal Bests on the day! For the U11 Boys, other fantastic efforts were produced by Noah Saunders, especially in the sprint; U13 Boys, George Burton and Matthew Ault finished 5th & 6th respectively and Alex Challands performed well with 4 personal bests, finishing in 12th place; U15 Boys produced an excellent debut performance from Thomas Ashton who finished 5th overall.
